YouTube: Making Money, Incentive and Collaboration

youtube-marketingYouTube is one of your best social media/networking tools but it takes time, patience and creativity. In terms of creative, it is easy to include links to your Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest and Website at the bottom of your YouTube video to attract your audience to other platforms.  These links are often referred to as call-to-action  (CTA).  An example of a call-to-action could be: We create videos like this every week so: Subscribe Here!  Another tactic to encourage your audience to check out your other social media platforms is to offer an incentive. Your video could be an special announcement informing viewers to make sure they follow you on Facebook and Twitter this week because you are offering a 15% coupon for all products and/or services for 2-days only! In other words, find creative ways to motivate your audience to go from one of your platforms to another one of your platforms. In addition, collaboration with another person, brand or company may also be beneficial, provide incentive for your viewers and help you attract viewers you may have other wise not attracted for some reason or another. For instance, if your company sells organic baby products, perhaps, collaborating with a farmer’s market or How-to channel for first time parents could increase your audience.

$0.45 USD - $4.00 USD

Note: The accepted formula that Auxiliary Mode Inc. uses to calculate the CPM range is $0.45 USD - $25.00 USD.

The range fluctuates this much because many factors come into play when calculating a CPM. Quality of traffic, source country, niche type of video, price of specific ads, adblock, the actual click rate, watch time and etc.

Cost per thousand (CPM) is a marketing term used to denote the price of 1,000 advertisement impressions on one webpage. If a website publisher charges $2.00CPM, that means an advertiser must pay $2.00 for every 1,000 impressions of its ad. The "M" in CPM represents the Roman numeral for 1,000.
