YouTube Is Going To Hollywood, Has Announced New Original Series And Feature Films

With the purpose of backing original series and bringing several feature films, YouTube is teaming up with multi-channel network (MCN) and DreamWorks Animation subsidiary AwesomenessTV. All the feature films will star YouTubers and will be premiered online.

“Together, we’ll release several feature-length films over the next two years, all driven by YouTube stars and developed and produced by AwesomenessTV’s Brian Robbins,” YouTube Originals boss Alex Carloss stated in a blog post.

“The films will all premiere globally on YouTube before they become available elsewhere, setting what we believe will become a new distribution paradigm for years to come. We hope to release our first film this fall, with more details to come soon,” Alex added.

Along with feature films, the Google subsidiary is ready to back the original series with four popular digital creators including the Fine Brothers (with 17 million subscribers on their YouTube channels), Prank vs. Prank (with 14 million subscribers on YouTube) , Joey Graceffa (5 million subscribers) and SMOSH (with 35 million YouTube subscribers).

The Fine Brothers will host a scripted comedy series on the Google subsidiary. YouTube will expect Prank vs. Prank to entertain its audience with prank stunts. Joey Graceffa will create murder-mystery reality series featuring other YouTube stars.

The famous Smosh will be showing “out-of-control kids and crazy parents are all in a day’s work” in a comedy series about working at a restaurant.

In addition to this, Google-owned site will broadcast the first series of Wonder Quest , the new educational show launched by British Minecraft gamer Joseph Garrett, exclusively.

$0.45 USD - $4.00 USD

Note: The accepted formula that Auxiliary Mode Inc. uses to calculate the CPM range is $0.45 USD - $25.00 USD.

The range fluctuates this much because many factors come into play when calculating a CPM. Quality of traffic, source country, niche type of video, price of specific ads, adblock, the actual click rate, watch time and etc.

Cost per thousand (CPM) is a marketing term used to denote the price of 1,000 advertisement impressions on one webpage. If a website publisher charges $2.00CPM, that means an advertiser must pay $2.00 for every 1,000 impressions of its ad. The "M" in CPM represents the Roman numeral for 1,000.
