Updating your email address – Twitter

Having an up-to-date email address attached to your account is a great step toward improved account security.

There are two critical steps for updating your email address:

  • Updating your email address in your account settings
  • Confirming your email address

To update your email address:

  1. Log in to twitter.com and go to your Account settings page.
  2. Type your new email address into the Email field. Note: An email address can only be associated with one Twitter account at a time.
  3. Click Save at the bottom of the page.
  4. A dialog box will appear asking you to confirm your Twitter password. Enter your password in the box and clickSave changes.
  5. You’ll immediately see a yellow message on your homepage asking you to confirm your email change. It will stay there until you confirm your new email address (see steps to confirm below).
Your email address is not displayed in your public profile on Twitter. If you have not turned off the Let others find me by my email address setting, then others that already have your email address may find your Twitter account.

To confirm your email address:

When you update the email address attached to your account, we’ll send you an email asking you to confirm the change. In the email we send, clicking the Confirm now btn lets us know the email address is yours.

  1. Log in to the email inbox for the address you just updated.
  2. Open the email from Twitter inviting you to confirm your account.
  3. Click the Confirm now btn in that email.
  4. We’ll direct you to your Twitter account, and if you not already logged in we’ll ask you to do so.
Please note: If you do not complete the confirmation process above, your email will remain in an unconfirmed state. This means you won’t be able to take advantage of certain account features, such as requesting your Tweet archive or taking advantage of security features like login verification.

$0.45 USD - $4.00 USD

Note: The accepted formula that Auxiliary Mode Inc. uses to calculate the CPM range is $0.45 USD - $25.00 USD.

The range fluctuates this much because many factors come into play when calculating a CPM. Quality of traffic, source country, niche type of video, price of specific ads, adblock, the actual click rate, watch time and etc.

Cost per thousand (CPM) is a marketing term used to denote the price of 1,000 advertisement impressions on one webpage. If a website publisher charges $2.00CPM, that means an advertiser must pay $2.00 for every 1,000 impressions of its ad. The "M" in CPM represents the Roman numeral for 1,000.
