How do I link my Instagram account to my Facebook Timeline?
You can link your Instagram posts to your Facebook account through your app’s settings.
To share photos from Instagram to Facebook:
iOS
- Go to your profile and then tap
- Tap Share Settings
- Tap Facebook and then link your accounts by providing your Facebook login info
Android
- Go to your profile and then tap
- Tap Linked Accounts
- Tap Facebook and then link your accounts by providing your Facebook login info
Windows Phone
- Tap and then tap Settings
- Swipe down to Preferences and then tap Share Settings
- Tap Facebook and then link your accounts by providing your Facebook login info
Now when you take a photo or video on Instagram, you’ll have the option to share it on Facebook from the same screen where you add a caption.
You can also share from Instagram to a Facebook Page you manage.
How do I link my Instagram account to a Facebook Page that I manage?
To link your Instagram account to your brand’s Facebook Page, you must be an admin of that Page on Facebook. To link Instagram to your Facebook Page:
Android
- Go to your Profile and tap .
- Tap Linked Accounts > Facebook.
- Your Instagram account will link to your personal Facebook Timeline by default. To link to a Page instead, tap Facebook and choose a Page that you manage.
iOS
- Go to your Profile and tap .
- Tap Linked Accounts > Facebook.
- Your Instagram account will link to your personal Facebook Timeline by default. To link to a Page instead, tap Share to and choose a Page that you manage.
Windows Phone
- Go to your Profile and tap .

If you’ve already linked Facebook on your phone or tablet but need to switch accounts, unlink your Facebook account from Instagram.
When I link my account to Facebook, are my posts visible to the public?
No. When you share a photo or video to Facebook, the audience is set to Friends by default. You can change the audience later by going to the post and clicking the audience selector.
Can I change the name of the Facebook album I upload photos to?
If you change the name of the Facebook album you upload photos to from Instagram, the next time you share a photo to Facebook a new album titled Instagram Photos will be created. If you’d like all of your images to appear in one album, you shouldn’t change the name.
Can I choose which Facebook album my photos are sent to?

Can I share old Instagram photos to another site?
Yes! To share a photo you’ve previously uploaded on Instagram to another site:
- Go to your profile and tap the photo you’d like to share.
- Tap (iPhone and Windows Phone) or(Android) beneath the photo > Share Photo.
- Tap the icon for where you’d like to share your photo (ex: Facebook, Twitter). If you haven’t yet linked your Instagram account to that site or service, you’ll be prompted to log in. The icon for that site will turn blue once you’ve linked your accounts.
- Tap Share in the top-right corner.
How many images can I upload to a Facebook photo album?
You can upload up to 1,000 images to a Facebook photo album that’s been created by an app.
Why am I seeing someone else’s Facebook info when I sign up for Instagram?
If you’re sharing an iOS 6 iPhone or iPad with someone and that person has previously logged into and linked their Instagram and Facebook accounts, you may be seeing that person’s Facebook information when you sign up for Instagram.
To link the correct Instagram and Facebook accounts, you’ll need to remove the other person’s Facebook account from iOS 6 and add your account instead:
- Open your iOS settings
- Tap Facebook
- Tap the other person’s name and then tap Delete Account
When you sign up for Instagram, you can register with an email address or with your Facbook account. You can also share Instagram posts to your Facebook Timeline by linking your accounts.
Why am I seeing someone else’s Facebook info or posting to someone else’s Facebook account from Instagram?
This may happen if someone has used your phone to log into Instagram and has then linked their Facebook and Instagram accounts.
To relink your Instagram account with your Facebook account:
- Go to your Instagram profile and then tap Edit Share Settings > Facebook
- Visit Facebook’s app settings to revoke access to Instagram which will unlink the wrong Facebook account.
- Just tap the Facebook icon again and enter your login information to link the correct account.
