7 habits of highly effective social media-ers

The world of social media moves faster than fangirls at an O2L show. With the endless options it’s overwhelming just to get your social media feet on the ground, let alone grow a successful presence.

But a lot of social media success just boils down to building good habits. Sean Covey, the author of 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens, sums this up perfectly: “We become what we repeatedly do.” In that spirit, here are seven habits of highly effective social media-ers. Enjoy!

1 .THEY TAKE BREAKS.

Most creative firestorms ignite when you’re away from your computer. At least once a day, take a walk, hang out with friends—whatever it takes to clear your mind.

2. THEIR FINGERS ARE GLUED TO THE REFRESH BUTTON.

Always keep on top of what’s going on in your world and the wider world. By continually refreshing your feeds, you never have to worry about missing out on anything relevant.

3. THEY SPEAK AND THINK IN HASHTAGS.

You don’t literally have to talk in hashtags (unless you really want to). But you do need to be thinking about your social presence 24/7. No matter the situation, always dream up ways to capture your everyday experience via your social media.

4. THEY’RE PERFECTIONISTS.

No one will ever be perfect, but that doesn’t mean we can’t try. Small things like crafting the perfect wording for your post, updating your channel art, or revising your profile can have a huge impact on your users’ experience.

5. THEY PLAN AND ORGANIZE CONTENT IN ADVANCE.

Do you post all the content to your social media accounts in real time? If so, do yourself a favor and start scheduling your posts in advance. Not only does this save you tons of stress, it also helps you catch errors and map out your content.

6. THEY SET GOALS.

Setting concrete goals always helps. Goals help you assess where you’re at now, where you’re going, and how you’re going to get there.

7. THEY DO THEIR RESEARCH.

Social media platforms are continually releasing updates, redesigning their interfaces, and fixing bugs. It’s your job to stay up to date with these trends to make sure you stay current.

$0.45 USD - $4.00 USD

Note: The accepted formula that Auxiliary Mode Inc. uses to calculate the CPM range is $0.45 USD - $25.00 USD.

The range fluctuates this much because many factors come into play when calculating a CPM. Quality of traffic, source country, niche type of video, price of specific ads, adblock, the actual click rate, watch time and etc.

Cost per thousand (CPM) is a marketing term used to denote the price of 1,000 advertisement impressions on one webpage. If a website publisher charges $2.00CPM, that means an advertiser must pay $2.00 for every 1,000 impressions of its ad. The "M" in CPM represents the Roman numeral for 1,000.
