YouTube Analytics Now Include By-the-Minute Updates
For creators who stay glued to their analytics after uploading each new video, YouTube has made a vast improvement. With new, real-time analytics, the digital video platform brings users view counts that update every minute.
Now, on the analytics section of users’ YouTube channels, they’ll find a “realtime” category that automatically displays the view numbers for their five, most recently uploaded videos (but they can look for previous videos’ numbers, as well). In addition to minute-by-minute updates covering the past hour, users will also be able to see figures updated by the hour over the span of two days prior.
Furthermore, users don’t need to refresh the page to see current real-time data — the page does this for them. (There’s a few minutes delay, but nobody’s perfect.) Users can also organize the data in various ways, like by the last five videos published on a channel or by the most recently published videos across a user’s multiple owned channels.
YouTube has yet to provide realtime data for playlists and series. The feature was released on September 19.
