Vine sensitive media FAQ

Vine is a platform for a broad range of expression including spontaneous moments, hilarious jokes, and meaningful events. For media we find sensitive, we will add a warning or prevent the content from featured areas on Vine.

What is sensitive media?

Sensitive media includes content such as nudity or mild violence.  We also consider disparaging speech regarding others based on race, religious affiliation, national origin, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, serious disease, or disability to be sensitive and potentially a violation of the Vine Rules.

What is okay to post?

We allow some depictions of media fall outside of this category and are not considered sensitive.

Examples of what’s okay to post:

  • Breastfeeding media.
  • Mild cuts and bruises.
  • Cartoon violence.

What happens if I post something sensitive?

Vines that include sensitive media will not be surfaced in our Vine Channels including Popular Now. We may also place a warning over the content that informs people on Vine that the content may be sensitive. In addition, users who violate Vine’s Rules regarding targeted abuse may be subject to suspension. Users who believe that their content has been incorrectly categorized as sensitive, or who believe that their accounts have been suspended in error, may submit an appeal via our support form.

How can I report content that violates this policy?

If you come across sensitive media on Vine, you can report the post by tapping the btn with three dots at the bottom of the post (below the comments) and selecting Report this post.

$0.45 USD - $4.00 USD

Note: The accepted formula that Auxiliary Mode Inc. uses to calculate the CPM range is $0.45 USD - $25.00 USD.

The range fluctuates this much because many factors come into play when calculating a CPM. Quality of traffic, source country, niche type of video, price of specific ads, adblock, the actual click rate, watch time and etc.

Cost per thousand (CPM) is a marketing term used to denote the price of 1,000 advertisement impressions on one webpage. If a website publisher charges $2.00CPM, that means an advertiser must pay $2.00 for every 1,000 impressions of its ad. The "M" in CPM represents the Roman numeral for 1,000.
