What are cash back offers from Twitter?

You can now get exclusive offers from merchants and brands on Twitter. Cash back offers are like coupons that you can add directly to your credit or debit card by registering your card on Twitter. To redeem your offer, simply pay with the card you added your offer to, and the savings will be applied on your card statement within a few days.

How is the credit or debit card information I submit to claim an offer on Twitter secure?

We carefully protect the credit or debit card information that you provide to claim an offer on Twitter. Your card information is immediately encrypted and stored securely in our PCI Level 1 certified payment systems. How do cash back offers work?

To start claiming offers, you’ll first need to register your credit or debit card. You can then add offers your registered card and redeem your offers simply by paying with that card at the merchant’s location. There are no coupons to print and your savings will be applied to your account within a few days of your purchase.

How it works:

Add offers to your credit or debit card

Register your credit or debit card to claim cash back offers from your favorite merchants. Any offers you claim will be added to your card so we can apply the savings after you make a purchase.

Make an eligible purchase with your card

Purchase with your registered card you used to claim your offer. If you registered a debit card, be sure to select “credit” and don’t enter your PIN when you make your purchase. There’s no need to print coupons or show your phone to anyone.

Get cash back

We’ll send you a notification with the amount you saved shortly after you purchase. Your credit should appear on your online card statement within a few days.

Note: Cash back offers on Twitter is currently only available for users in the United States.

How do I claim a cash back offer on Twitter?

You can see offers from participating merchants right within your timeline. The offers that can be claimed on Twitter will include a Get offer btn within the Tweet.

To claim a cash back offer:

  1. Tap the Get offer btn within the Tweet.
  2. You’ll be brought to an expanded description of the offer, which will include additional details and instructions on how to redeem your offer.
  3. Enter your credit or debit card information and click Add offer to card.
  4. That’s it! The offer will be added to your card and we’ll send you an email and a notification to confirm the details of your offer.

How much does it cost to save or use an offer?

There is no charge to claim or use a cash back offer from Twitter.

Why do I need to enter my card information to claim an offer?

Twitter uses your credit or debit card to verify that you made a qualified purchase at the merchant that created to offer, and as the way to give you your savings. You don’t need to print any coupons or to show anyone your phone when you redeem.

What types of payment cards can I register to use cash back offers on Twitter?

Each offer specifies the type of payment cards that are eligible for for use with that offer. For example, if an offer specifies that Visa and Mastercard are eligible, you could add that offer to most Visa and Mastercard credit and debit cards. Most standard bank-issued cards will be eligible for use with cash back offers, while cards that are issued by a retailer, dealer or manufacturer are not currently eligible. Prepaid cards, virtual cards, or one-time use cards are also not eligible for use with cash back offers.

Note that debit cards with the Visa or MasterCard logos are eligible only if you select “credit” when you make a purchase and don’t enter your PIN.

Redeeming an offer

How do I redeem an offer that I’ve claimed on Twitter?

To redeem your offer, simply make an eligible purchase with your registered card at the merchant’s location or website, depending on the terms of your offer. You can view the terms of your offer when you claim the offer, and you will also receive an email with your offer details.

If you registered a debit card, be sure to select “credit” and don’t enter your PIN when you make your purchase.

After you purchase, Twitter will receive a notification from the merchant’s payment provider to verify the terms of the purchase. We will send you a notification and email telling you how much you saved.

How long will it take for my cash back award to appear on my card statement?

Your cash back award should appear on your card online statement within a few days following your purchase. Your credit will appear as “Twitter * merchant name.”

Do I need to tell the merchant about my offer or show them my confirmation notification?

There is no need to tell the merchant about your offer and no need to print any coupons or show your phone to anyone to redeem your offer. When you make an eligible purchase with a registered card, the offer will automatically be redeemed, and a credit should appear on your online card statement within a few days following your purchase.

Why don’t I see the discount on my receipt?

Cash back offers work differently than other types of offers. Your discount will not show up on your receipt at the time of purchase and instead will appear on your online card statement within a few days following your purchase. When you make a purchase, Twitter will send you a notification and email telling you how much you saved. The credit on your card statement will be shown as “Twitter * merchant name”.

Is there a way to confirm that my offer will be applied before making my purchase?

Please check the details of your offer carefully before making your purchase to redeem your offer.  The details for your offer can be found within the email confirmation that is sent to you after you claim an offer on Twitter. Be sure to confirm that your purchase qualifies based on the offer expiration date, minimum purchase amount, store location, or any other offer details included in your offer.

How will my discount be calculated?

Offers can have either fixed-dollar discounts or percentage discounts. Check the offer terms to see what kind of discount you’ll receive. In either case, the discount will be applied to the total amount of your purchase.

Will my credit card information be stored?
Your credit card information will be encrypted and safely stored to make is easier to claim other cash back offers or make purchases on Twitter in the future. You can remove this information from your profile anytime you’d like.

To remove your credit card information from your profile, visit the Payments and Shipping tab within your Twitter settings.

Will credit card information be shared?
Your credit or debit card information will not be shared with the merchant without your permission. For more information, you can review our Privacy Policy.

If I claim an offer or redeem an offer, will it be seen by others on Twitter?
No. When you claim or redeem an offer, that information will not be displayed on your timeline or your profile. If you want to share your offer on Twitter, you can Tweet about the offer or Retweet the original offer Tweet.

Where can I find a confirmation for my offers?
Once you claim an offer, Twitter will send you an email to confirm that your offer has been added to your card.
