Create a Campaign
This feature is available only to partners using YouTube Studio Content Manager.
Campaigns in Studio Content Manager allow you to promote your content directly through user-uploaded videos that match your assets. When an asset is included in a campaign, a promotional card appears on matching videos, linking viewers directly to your content.
For example, you can use campaigns to promote a movie by directing viewers from user-uploaded clips to your official watch page.
Matches are identified through Content ID or manual claims. Content ID matches trigger cards at the start of the matched segment, while manual claims display cards at the end of the video. Cards may not appear for unplayable videos or very short matches.
Setting Up a Campaign
Before creating a campaign, decide how assets will be grouped:
Asset-Based Campaigns
Built using individually selected assets.
Label-Based Campaigns (Recommended)
Built using asset labels assigned to multiple assets.
Why label-based campaigns are preferred:
- Unlimited scalability: Supports unlimited assets (vs. 25 limit for asset-based campaigns)
- Better organization: Easier to group content by theme or category
- Automatic updates: New assets with the same label are automatically included
