How to Schedule YouTube Videos to Publish Later

Scheduling a video lets you upload it in advance and choose exactly when it becomes public on YouTube.

How to schedule a video in YouTube Studio

  1. Open entity[“software”,”YouTube Studio”,”video management platform by YouTube”] and sign in to your account.
  2. Click Create and select Upload videos.
  3. Choose the video file you want to upload.
  4. Enter your video details (title, description, thumbnail, etc.).
  5. In the visibility settings, select Schedule instead of Public or Private.
  6. Choose the exact date, time, and time zone for your video to go live.
  7. Click Schedule to confirm.

How to change a scheduled video

  1. Go to the Content section in YouTube Studio.
  2. Click on the scheduled video you want to edit.
  3. Open the Visibility settings.
  4. You can either:
    • Adjust the scheduled time by selecting Edit schedule, or
    • Publish immediately by switching visibility to Public.
  • Your video must be fully uploaded before it can be scheduled.
  • Scheduled videos will not publish if your account has active Community Guidelines restrictions.
  • YouTube may display publish dates using Pacific Time (PST), which can affect how dates appear across different time zones.

Scheduling is useful for planning content in advance, keeping a consistent upload schedule, and coordinating releases with events or promotions.
